enroute to gangtok


All good things in life come in small packets and Gangtok is a good illustration. Be it the rich flora, the beautiful people, or the serene Buddhist monasteries.The eastern state of Sikkim lies couched between the borders of Nepal and Bhutan.Several festivals are celebrated in Gangtok and its adjoining areas.The best time to visit Gangtok, is in the months of October to mid-December and March to May. One can visit by bus though gangtok sikkim route os the busiest one.Gangtok is a breathing and dynamic bit of paradise of the northeast. It has an amazing view of mount Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain peak in the world. Lets go and see some amazing spots in gangtok.

MG Road :

It is the shopping hub of gangtok known to be heart of this city having various shops, restaurants, hotels .one can stroll around to enjly the enviornment with very clean road without any smoke, traffic . At night it appears to be more beautiful because of lighting.

Ganesh Tok:

It is a small temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha, situated on the top of hill covered with snow. It is so small that only one person can fit at a time.  Colourfull flags has tied over the stairs . There is a place to kept shoes safe and to wash hands for devotees. It is surrounded by beautiful hills, mountains and landscaps.

Kangchenjunga:

One of the most stunning mountains , third highest peak ,kanchenjunga surrounded by nepal ,sikkim,tibet. It is also known as the five treasures of high snow as it is believed to represent five repositories of god ie. Gold, silver, gems ,grains and holly books. People like to doblot of trekking here as it gives pleasent view of woody forest and beautiful scenery. Perfectvpicnic spot many tourist loves to clock pictures here.

Seven Sisters Waterfalls :

As name suggests it consist of seven different waterfalls arranged side by side on a cliff . It is situated around 32 km away from gangtok at gangtok lachung highway. The capitative scene of these sister rainfalls can be seen from base especially when there is rain. 

Cable Car Ropeway:

Who doesn't want a thrilling activity once in a while . So gangtok offers a cable car ropeway which is around 935 m long and provides the aerial bird’s eye view of whole gangtok with in 10 to 20 min. It has three terminal stations - Tashiling, Namnang or Deorali, the lowest one being at Deorali. It can carry up to 25 people  in one go. To enjoy the panoramic view of hills,landscapes one should try it while visit.

Mumbai ie. City of dreams earlier called as Bombay, is a capital city of Maharashtra well known as Bollywood hub of India.it is well known for the beautiful blend of cultures and lifestyles. Mumbai is a city which carries many stories in itself be it in respect to struggling actors to successful ones on silver screen. it lies on the Konkon coast on west coast of india with deep natural Harbour . it is famously known to be wealthiest city because it has many millionaires and billionaires residing amongst the rest of cities of India. Lets have a look on some tourist spots in mumbai.

1. Marine Drive:
It is 3.6 km long arc shaped street along with south Bombay coast known as Chowpatty beach. It is best place to see sunset and stroll alongside of beach at day time or at night. After all the lights lit up in the evening the whole coastline seems to be a diamond necklace.





2.Gate Way of India: 
It is known to be Mumbai's Taj Mahal . It is the most famous tourist place of Mumbai built in the year 1924.There are statues of Swami Vivekananda and Chhatrapati Shivaji that have been installed near the Gateway as well.The view from the sea of the Gateway complex, especially at night is quite ethereal and beautiful. The Gateway of India is thus, not only a historic artefact but an example of marvellous architecture in itself.

3.Siddhivinayak Temple: 
Temple of lord Ganesha , built in 1801 . It is strong belief that the statue of lord Ganesha of this temple grants wishes. It is the rihest temple in the Mumbai as devotees comes across the world every year and the collection of donation goes upto 100 million rupees .big Filmstars also come here to seek blessings of bappa before their film release.

4.Haji Ali Dargah :
Located at the Arabian sea known for Haji Ali a Rich merchant who turned up as Sufi saint after his visit to Mecca. At night all lights lit up to give it a beautiful divine view in midst of sea. It can be assessed only when the tides of sea are low as it is covered by sea from all sides. The hall of Dargah has marble pillars engraved with creative mirror work: blue, green, yellow chips of glass arranged in varied designs and Arabic patterns which spell the ninety-nine names of Allah.
5. Film City :

Known as home of Bollywood, 900 plus films have been shot here till date. Spread across 520 acres land consist of 20 indoor studios . Filled with world class facilities , greenery  which make it best place to shoot films. It become difficult to differentiate  between reality and dream after visiting here. One can enjoy live movie shots here while tour of film city.

Shimla, a famous holiday spot , capital of himachal pradesh (state of hills ) gets its name from goddess kali reincarnation ie. Shyamali devi. This place was built on top of seven hills ie. Inverarm Hill, Observatory Hill, Prospect Hill, Summer Hill, Bantony Hill, Elysium Hill and Jakhoo Hill put of these jakhoo hill is the highest point of shimla.The city is situated 88 km northeast of Kalka, 116 km northeast of Chandigarh, 247 km  south of Manali and 350 km northeast of Delhi.lets look upon some beautiful places one can visit to, in shimla.
1. The mall :


Image result for mall road shimla the mall road is located heart of town, is a main street where one can enjoy shopping, meals and many other leisure activities with their friends and family. It has many restaurants, shops, clubs , cafes  etc. The main attraction of this place is scandal point and kali bari temple. No vehicle is allowed except emergency ones . So everyone can stroll around in the evenings. The stores that are located on the Mall Road are famous for their woollen clothes and exclusively handcrafted works, apart from the usual books and jewellery.
2. Ridge:
Image result for The Ridge, Shimla it is the large open space located along side the mall road that host all kind of cultural fest here.it constitute everything starting with shops of artcrafts , cafes , restaurants and many more ; covered with pine trees himalayan oak so it is the most loved place to click some lifetime memories. Nearby there is lakkar bazar that is famous for its wooden handicrafts. 
3.christ chruch :
Image result for Christ Church Shimla it is the second oldest chruch of north india which took 11 years to built. The place is filled with faith, devotion ,hope having beautiful architecture. People of each age group loves to pay his visit to this place. At night it glows up with mesmerising lighting and looks like big castle.
4.jakhoo temple:

It is tge temple of lord hanuman which has 108 feet tall statie of lord hanuman that can be seen from any where in shimla According to the people that surrounds Jakhu Temple, Lord Hanuman stopped at this spot to take some rest before resuming his search for the Sanjeevani Booti to revive Lord Lakshman. One can see monkeys here and there around this temple. The visit to shimla is really incomplete without paying visit to this beautiful temple. 
5. The himachal state museum : 

it is located on mall road of shimla consist of unique collections of ancientcoins,paintings, handicrafts,pointing towards pahari form of art. It has a library popular for having 10000 books magazines and journals .

Jaipur also known as Pink city famous for eminent colourful buildings . It is largest city in Rajasthan. Founded by a Rajput ruler Jai singh II ruler of Amer after whom the city is named. If i talk about climatic conditions, this city has hot semi arid climate, July and August are the monsoon months. it is considered to be one of the famous tourist place . it has one of most expensive hotel suites i.e. the Presidential suite at the Raj Palace Hotel, which costs around US$45000 per night. Before begin with our journey together, lets see some amazing tourist spots one can visit to.

1.Amer Fort



In Jaipur, cradled on the top of the Aravali Hill lies the Amer Fort, one of the most                magnificent palaces in India.this majestic building with its maze-like passages and serpentine staircases is an architectural masterpiece . Only 11 kilometres away from the capital city of Jaipur, Amer Fort is clad in pink and yellow sandstone and is a part of an extensive complex. Built by one of the most trusted generals of Akbar, Maharaja Man Singh I in the year 1592, Amer Fort served as the main residence of the Rajput Rulers. The Amer Fort through its large ramparts, several gateways and paved paths overlooks the Maotha Lake in the town of Amer. The fort is big enough that it will take you at least two to three hours to explore it in detail, this fascinating building explains the history of the place. Getting an elephant ride up the stairs to the Amber Fort is also a popular tourist activity.

2. City Palace
The magnificent City Palace in Jaipur is Built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh.The palace is divided into a series of courtyards, buildings and gardens including the Chandra Mahal and the Mubarak Mahal. The museum showcases various unique handcrafted products and other things that belong to the royal heritage of the City Palace.The facade itself is designed with acute and detailed handiwork and showcases a blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture styles. The City Palace has three gates, out of which the Virendra Pol and Udai Pol are open to the public.

3.Hawa Mahal

The Hawa Mahal stands at the intersection of the main road in Jaipur, was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in the year 1799. Hawa Mahal derives its name from its unique structure, which is a mesh of small windows that allowed cool wind to enter the palace and hence kept the palace comfortable during the hot summer months. The main reason behind the palace's construction was to allow the women of the royal house to observe the festivities on the streets whilst being unseen from the outside as was the custom of the land. Hawa Mahal is a structure made of red and pink sandstone and has a pyramidal structure which almost resembles a crown. It has been embellished with 953 tiny windows, also known as 'Jharokhas' and embellished with gorgeous latticework.



4.Jantar Mantar

Jantar Mantar is the largest stone astronomical observatory in the world. Owing to its rich cultural, heritage and scientific value, Jantar Mantar in Jaipur has also been featured on UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites.
The main objective of building this vast observatory was to study and gather information about space and time. The instruments here pertain to Egyptian study of Ptolemaic astronomy and follows three classical celestial coordinates to track the positions of heavenly bodies- namely horizon-zenith local system, the equatorial   system and the ecliptic system.


5.Pink City
Pink City in Jaipur refers to the old walled city that was built in the year 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II. The wall that marks the boundary of the Pink City is about six metres high and three metres thick and encompasses a number of structures within its confines. In keeping with the magnificence of the structure, there are seven different gates that provide access to the Old City, namely Chand Pol, Suraj Pol, Ajmeri Gate, New Gate, Sanganeri Gate, Ghat Gate, Samrat Gate and Zorawar Singh Gate.The city is known as 'Pink City' as it is built out of Sandstone and reflects the colour pink in the daytime. Steeped with rich past and heritage, the Pink City of Jaipur is a place of royal heritage, culture and architecture. The city is covered in the tint of pink colour oozing charm and attracting tourists from all over the world.

en route to Darjeeling

Darjeeling is a place in north eastern part of India, city of west Bengal. it has variety of flaura and fauna. such as ducks, teals, plovers, gulls badgers, mangoose etc. to enjoy the beauty of landscape sceenry there is Himalayan railway which is 600 mm long moreover bus service is quite easily available here from kathmandu, gangtok, siliguri to darjeeling. there are some delicious cuisine avaliable one must try ie. butter tea, alu dom alu mini and also special alcoholic beverages.one can eaisly find hotels, restaurants around the place. lets explore some famous tourist spots in darjeeling.
1.Darjeeling himalayan railway:
it is also known as toy train in darjeeling runs between new jalpaiguri and darjeeling . journey of 88 km train will give pleasing memories of outside views while passing through villages , shops, hills. it has declared as UNESCO world heritage site also. this train ride will impact a  relaxing experience on one's mind. one can do the reservations on the online indian railway official website.


2.Tiger hill:
it is the most famous spot fro sunrise sight at the height of 2590 m and it's 13km from darjeeling.the timmings to reach this hill are 3.30 am to 4.15 am . one can enjoy the beautiful peaks of the third highest peak of mountain kanchanjunga from here also with mesmerising view of sunrise in morning.one can come here by car having rent of around 1200 rupees which is around 200 rupees per head.


3.Darjeling ropeway:
it serves as best tourist hotspot as it helps the people to have acess to all tea gardens which are the beauties of darjeeling. cable car can accmodate 6 people at atime runs from north point in singamari to singla bazaar . it runs around 7000 ft above the ground level. one can easly see the beautiful sight of water falls, kanchanjunga peaks ,  tea estates

4.Tea Plantations


Be it black or green there are over 80 tea plantations in Darjeeling, spread across the slopes of the valleys .The famous Happy Valley Tea Estate is the only garden amongst these that allows tourists to view the producing and processing tea with their tea factory guided tour. Covering over 17,500 hectares of land, tea cultivation is one of the major activities of this hill station. Some of the famous tea estates in Darjeeling are Happy Valley Tea Estate, Glenburn Tea Estate, Makaibari Tea Estate, Gomtee Tea Estate, and Chamong Tea Estate
5.Rock Garden
Rock Garden located 10 km away from Darjeeling , also known as Barbotey Rock Garden which is surrounded by beautiful hill stream along with the slope covered with fascinating flower gardens and sitting arrangements at various level. It is considered one of the most preferred visiting destinations for nature lovers travelling to Darjeeling. The tourist attraction is also surrounded by tea gardens and flower gardens terraced with a peaceful lake on the top where visitors can spend a beautiful time and relax after a long and tiring journey.
6.Batasia Loop  
the Batasia Loop is a lush green toy train pathway that is meant to minimise the elevation of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. The unique design of this magnificent attraction allows the track to wrap around itself through a hilltop tunnel .the motive behind creating the magnificent pathway of the Batasia Loop was rooted in easing navigation around the terrain of Darjeeling. It rises from the midst of emerald carpets of mountain vegetation and overlooks the snowy peaks of Kanchenjungha on one side as well. Endearing flowers line the way, which makes a trip through Batasia Loop a must after you have witnessed the fascinating sunrise of Tiger Hill.
